Utilization Report Example

Figure 1 below illustrates actual study data at one location in a fleet vehicle utilization audit. The graph indicates that 47 vehicles were available for use at the one site. However, utilization rarely exceeded 35 vehicles (74%) at any one time. The organization was able to remove 10 vehicles from this site with no loss of vehicle availability.

This particular BFO client generated cost savings of US$1.1M in its 210 vehicle fleet each replacement cycle.

Figure 2 illustrates the time of day that one vehicle visited a site over a 5-week audit period. The vehicle driver regularly went home for lunch. The activity made the vehicle unavailable for other users and contravened company policy.
